Bayport and UNICEF Spain sign an agreement as partner organizations

Bayport Global Supplies and UNICEF Spain have signed a collaboration agreement that commits the company and the organization to work side by side to implement the plans and projects set out in their social objectives.

The agreement includes a financial contribution from Bayport, which effectively makes it a partner of UNICEF in its Companies for Change program. For its part, the non-profit organization commits to allocating these funds to its programs for the defense of children's rights in priority areas to ensure their survival, nutrition, health, protection, education, and hygiene, enabling them to grow and develop their full potential, both in situations of peace and in crises or humanitarian emergencies.

The agreement was signed at a meeting held at Bayport's headquarters in El Puerto de Santa María, with Claudia Zafra, president of the organization's Andalusian Committee, representing UNICEF Spain, and Miguel Ángel Criado, general manager, representing Bayport.

The link between the two parties goes back a long way, with various agreements having been signed over the years, in line with Bayport's intention to carry out actions that have an impact on society, not only in the immediate environment, but also in more remote areas, as in a globalized world it is necessary and fair to advocate for the development of all territories.

After signing the agreement, the UNICEF delegation had the opportunity to tour the facilities and learn more about the company's daily work, showing interest in such a specialized sector as ship supplies. The organization also discussed new areas in which it is focusing its efforts.

Bayport welcomes this agreement with UNICEF, one of the world's leading humanitarian organizations, which promotes impactful initiatives in favor of the most vulnerable children in different countries across five continents. Ensuring access to basic supplies and that children receive education and vaccinations from an early age are just some of its projects, which are intertwined with rapid response to disasters and emergencies.
