Bayport avoids the emission of 180 tons of CO2 in 2023
The installation of photovoltaic panels in the warehouse in El Puerto de Santa María and the use of renewable energies have made this possible.
At Bayport, we have it clear. We care about our planet and the people who live on it. Therefore, one of our main objectives in recent years has been to make a positive impact both environmentally and socially. We work on it every day through various actions that help us achieve it.
One of the most significant actions was the installation of photovoltaic panels in our warehouse in El Puerto de Santa María. Thanks to this, we have managed to avoid the emission of 180 tons of CO2.
One ton of CO2 is what an average person emits with a regular car throughout a whole year. Thus, it would be equivalent to the emissions emitted by 180 people with their cars over 365 days.
We continue to work towards being a little better and making a positive impact on the environment through actions such as the acquisition of vehicles and the implementation of more efficient routes to avoid unnecessary fuel consumption, the reduction of electrical energy consumed in our centers, and a waste recycling and separation program, among others.
